These Terms govern your use of RainFiles.com. By creating an account or agreeing to these Terms, you agree to the conditions below.

The service
RainFiles.com provides file transfer and link sharing through your account and workspace. Your plan determines the features, storage and access available to you. Verified accounts include a Free plan with 1 GB (1,000,000,000 bytes) of storage and no account expiry. Uploads require signing in. Recipients can download shared files without an account, subject to the link settings and workspace access. Paid plans provide more storage and features.
Monthly renewal and unpaid expiry
Monthly payments are one-time purchases, renewed by you on the website or through the billing link in our email. A reminder to the workspace owner is scheduled three days before the current billing period ends. Early renewal extends the current paid-through date by one calendar month in UTC, preserving the original billing day where possible. When paid access ends, the workspace continues on Free with 1 GB. If stored and reserved files exceed 1 GB, uploads pause and existing downloads remain available for seven days, subject to link settings and restrictions. Download or delete files, or renew before that deadline. If still above 1 GB at the deadline, transfers enter permanent deletion. Workspaces within the Free allowance do not enter deletion because paid access ended. Existing link dates are preserved; new or extended Free links last up to 15 days. Former team members retain existing access, but only the owner can send on Free and new invitations require Downpour. Removing stored copies can take additional time, and deleted files cannot be recovered.
Your account and workspace
Use an email address you control and keep sign-in codes private. You are responsible for activity you authorize. Workspace owners and admins manage the workspace and its membership; members can lose workspace access when their membership ends.
Your files
You keep ownership of your files and must have the rights needed to use and share them. You authorize the storage, copying and transmission reasonably necessary to carry out your instructions and operate the service. RainFiles.com is a transfer and link-sharing service, not an archive or backup service. Keep an independent copy of every file you need to retain and confirm receipt of important files.
Availability and retention
Files and links can become unavailable through expiry, the end of a plan or recovery period, deletion, restrictions or interruption. A link with no selected expiry does not guarantee permanent retention. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or recovery of deleted, corrupted or lost files. Suspension can stop uploads and new downloads, although an already started download may finish. The Free account has no billing expiry; individual links can expire. A workspace above the Free allowance after paid or legacy access ends has seven days to reduce usage or renew before its transfers enter deletion. Deleting transfers remain charged until physical cleanup is confirmed. Signing out does not erase account or workspace records. Copies downloaded by recipients remain outside our control.
Responsible use and restrictions
The Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these Terms. Do not use RainFiles.com for exploitation, nonconsensual intimate imagery, malware, phishing, fraud, unlawful threats or infringement. Do not bypass access controls or interfere with other people’s accounts. Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to address a security risk, policy breach or applicable legal requirement. You can request reasons and challenge a decision through Contact, subject to lawful confidentiality requirements.
Refunds
You can receive a full refund of a plan payment by emailing support@rainfiles.com within 15 days of that payment, with your payment reference if available. Refunds are returned to the original payment method after payment verification; your provider may take additional time to process them. Applicable mandatory rights remain unaffected.
Plans and billing
New accounts start on Free with 1 GB and no card required. There is no new free trial. Existing trial access continues until its original end date, then the workspace continues on Free. Existing accounts already above 1 GB at this change receive at least seven days from the change to download, delete or upgrade. A Free-to-paid purchase starts on payment confirmation; remaining legacy access and early paid renewals retain their existing dates. Nothing is charged automatically. The order identifies the plan, amount, currency, taxes and paid period before payment. A request to cancel, a refund request and a payment-provider chargeback are separate actions.
Service interruptions beyond our control
Where an event beyond our reasonable control prevents or delays performance, such as a natural disaster, war, civil disorder, government restriction or widespread power or communications failure, affected performance may be suspended only for the period and to the extent caused by that event. We will take reasonable steps to reduce its effects, provide information where reasonably practicable and resume performance when possible. Applicable cancellation, refund and other mandatory remedies remain available. This clause does not excuse avoidable security failures or exclude duties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Liability and mandatory rights
The availability and retention provisions explain the limits of the service and the need to keep independent copies. They do not exclude liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable duties concerning negligence, fraud, personal data and consumer protection. These Terms do not impose a monetary liability cap or require you to give up mandatory rights.
Changes and disputes
Changes to these Terms are identified by a new version and effective date. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law, and earlier accepted versions remain available. Submit disputes through Contact so they can be reviewed. Nothing in these Terms removes access to a court, regulator or other remedy available under applicable law.
